Is it actually the better option?

Join us for a simple solution to the single-use plastic crisis.

The alarming rate at which consumers are discarding plastic has become so massive, though the most serious crisis is single-use plastic. So overwhelming that Greenpeace recently proposed “Global Refill Day”- a campaign for consumers to bring their own containers to shops to reduce disposable packaging. This campaign generated a worldwide of participants with over 60,000 #ReuseRevolution publicities.

But in reality, there are so many obstacles to overcome to participate in the Global Refill Day. Plastic consumption has pervaded every aspect of our lives, and now we are waking up to the monster we created. Although the government and industries are building a system to prohibit and reduce the use of disposable products, it is not enough to prepare for the threat that is approaching. Of course, if relatable laws were actually the better option with minimum disruption, consumers will prefer sustainable and zero-waste options.

Professor Nando Kim, author of “Trend Korea” defined 2019 as the era of Green Survival. Eco-friendly production and consumption have become essential, beyond good practices. After the 2018 China’s ban of plastic waste imports, local recycling industries went downhill as much of that recycled plastic ended up in local landfills. It was a crisis, realizing that environmental issues were approaching the realm of reality. If a society puts fast and convenience first, an unbreakable plastic reliance will follow through.

Implementing zero-waste alternatives can cause inconvenience, and it all comes down to the consumers accepting disruption in their daily routine. AROMATICA is constantly innovating to contribute replacements for single-use plastic with sustainable beauty alternatives. By replacing plastic containers with glass bottles, and soon releasing refill pouches with empty glass bottles has already reduced plastic use by 86% compared to the conventional plastic containers (400ml shampoo bottles). The glass bottle used for the new Vitalizing Rosemary Decoction Toner is an eco-friendly and durable glass bottle made from recycled waste glass.

Our effort for a sustainable lifestyle does not end with just a challenge of its own. We need your courage. The courage to embrace something new, to break habits of a lifetime and stop an unethical routine of convenience. A sustainable approach may be out of your way. That is why AROMATICA is here to support your step towards sustainability. Our approach to beauty care merits your skin, our planet, and our future. Fill your compassion for the environment as you refill your bottles.
